Hole diameter and depth
Provide the finished hole diameter, drilling depth and number of holes. Hilti lists a 25-202 mm rig-based wet-coring range for the DD 160, but the available rental core bit must be confirmed separately.
Concrete and reinforcement
State whether the opening is through a slab, wall or other concrete element. Check drawings and scan the drilling area for reinforcement, cables, pipes and post-tensioning before work starts.
Drilling direction and stand fixing
Floor, wall and overhead openings require different access, anchoring and safety arrangements. Share the drilling direction and photos so the drill-stand fixing method can be checked.
Water and slurry control
The DD-160 is a wet-coring system. Plan a suitable water supply and collection method, especially for occupied areas, finished surfaces and any drilling above the work zone.

Can the machine core through reinforced concrete?
The DD-160 is intended for concrete coring, but reinforcement and concealed services must be checked before drilling. Obtain the necessary site and structural approval for the planned opening.
Can the coring machine be used on a wall or ceiling?
Wall and overhead work need the correct stand fixing, water collection and work-zone controls. Share the drilling orientation first so Boke Tools can check whether the requested setup is suitable.
